Case Study: Proteus Houses Media for DNC Convention

When the Democratic National Committee Convention needed workspace for 1,800 journalists during its 2004 convention, the host committee turned to Proteus.

A De Boer Delta provided housing for the Media Pavilion, offering 100,000 square feet of comfortable, functional and innovative workspace. The Delta was constructed as a two-story structure made from PVC plastic, aluminum and structural steel. The Pavilion featured climate control throughout, carpet, electrical distribution, lighting and Internet connections. Access was served by 20 double door sets, 10 staircases and even an elevator to the mezzanine level.

The structure took 18 days to erect, 11days to dismantle, and is ready for the next event.
