KENTUCKY EXPERIENCE SHOWS OFF IN PROTEUS STRUCTURES

LEXINGTON, KY – October 21, 2010.  For the very first time, the World Equestrian Games were hosted outside of Europe, giving the Kentucky Horse Park an opportunity to shine.  Many exhibition areas were arranged strategically throughout the Horse Park giving visitors a chance to experience not only the games, but also the intriguing state of Kentucky.

Among these exhibition areas was the Kentucky Experience which served as a 25,000 square foot interactive center for visitors.  The four diverse structures provided by Proteus On-Demand Facilities, based out of Atlanta, GA, give every guest a taste of Kentucky without leaving the Kentucky Horse Park.  The initial scope of the Kentucky Experience was to showcase the products that Kentucky is known for: horses, bourbon, arts and crafts, corvettes and bluegrass music.

The 1,044 sq ft Acropolis, serving as the Welcome center, offers all types of information on the key attractions, products and regions of Kentucky. The Exhibit Pavilion accommodates a walking tour through the sights and attractions around the state of Kentucky. The Product Pavilion showcases the many unique products made in Kentucky such as bourbon, ale, wine, food and art. Guests ages 21 and up have the opportunity to sample these special beverages.  Both the Exhibit Pavilion and the Product Pavilion consist of over 6,400 sq ft each.  The Entertainment Pavilion, accommodating over 5,300 sq ft, is used to give guests a taste of Kentucky’s country and blue grass music and dancing, as well as different entertainment daily.   A center courtyard brings all the structures together to create a cozy, welcoming atmosphere.

Each structure was uniquely designed with custom built interiors.  Cheryl Hatcher, Chief Sales & Marketing Officer of the Kentucky Department of Travel & Tourism says, “It is very welcoming… it turned out 100% the image we laid out.”

“If we were to paint a picture, sing a song or dream a dream… we are living the dream!” says commissioner of the Kentucky Department of Travel, Mike Cooper in regards to the pavilions set up by Proteus On-Demand.  For more information about our Company please visit our website at www.proteusondemand.com or email us at info@proteusondemand.com
