Porsche Corporate Delivery

2011 GT2 RS Customer Introduction

At the beginning of 2011, Porsche, the leading German manufacturer of luxury, high performance automobiles, launched a new line of cars – the 911 GT2 RS – the most powerful Porsche production model ever built.  All 500 units of the 911 GT2 RS, which can go from 0 to 60 in 3.4 seconds, were sold out in an extremely short amount of time.  These powerful automobiles were delivered at two private events in the United States to their high class owners. The events were held at El Toro Air Field in Irvine, CA and at The International Raceway in Palm Beach, Florida

Proteus On-Demand Facilities provided the temporary venues for the reveal of the special edition carbon fiber automobile. The venue functioned as both a space to expose the first impression of the cars, as well as a space to serve a buffet style lunch to the 133 car enthusiasts.  The vehicle delivery experience was focused on educating each customer with driving training, product education and VIP hospitality.

Both private venues used a custom integrated cassette floor system that supports heavy loads and provided clear span space for the event.  The 12m x 15m Alu Hall (1,911 sq ft) had 8 foot walls with a 15 foot roof peak and was equipped with smoked glass panels, double glass lockable doors with push-bar egress, ramps at doors for car placement, low bay lights and par lights to highlight the car. Event grade carpet flooring, HVAC, medium size generator, and safety packages were also installed in the temporary structure.  A VIP restroom trailer was also on site for the convenience of the guests. Proteus foreman and labor team built and dismantled the structures in just one day, respectively.
